Travel has taught me two things: never ask a Sami how many reindeer they have, and never ask a Somali how many camels they have.
I’m Zac, a 21 year old guy from Sydney, Australia, who just wanted a place to rant about my past and future adventures!
Growing up, I was fortunate enough to go on an overseas trip with my family every four or five years. All of these trips were to Asia, and all were backpacking, because that’s how my parents have always loved to travel. Their style rubbed off on me, and when I turned 19 I decided to take my first solo trip to Ethiopia. That trip got me even more hooked on backpacking and I haven’t looked back since. My most recent trip was six weeks hitchhiking around Iran, which I’ll hopefully write about soon.

Here’s a map of where I’ve been:
To keep things simple, the one criterion for my map is that I have to have slept somewhere for it to be included.
